Thanks. We are hit with so much to process every day. Sometimes, I feel beat up by all the horror. But that's what they're looking for. And I so appreciate your comment about kindness. It's always meaningful but especially when you need it the most. BTW, White Bird is such a good movie. I've watched it twice.
Thank you for this thoughtful piece. Today was the memorial service for Margot Friedländer in Berlin—a Holocaust survivor. She went into hiding after the Gestapo arrested her mother and brother. In 1945, after being freed from a concentration camp, she returned to Berlin and spent the rest of her life working to make sure what happened to her—and to millions of others—would never happen again.
Thank you, and I so appreciate your telling us about Ms. Friedländer. Peace, love, and respect to her. I can't even imagine what she went through, but she's a hero.
Yes, and this time it's happening in the United States. Unbelievable.
So much to think about here but so true that we never forget kindness.

Spot on. Excellent essay!!!!
Thank you ever so much. I feel like we all need to do what we can.
Excellent as always. The true miscreant is DJT!
Thanks you! And no doubt. Trump is the worst. Plus every single person he hired to create this wall of fascism we have is a Bad Guy's Hall of Fame..
