YOU’RE A MEAN ONE, DONALD TRUMP
What are you so mad for?
Dear Donald Trump,
YOU HAVE TAKEN the office of the President of the United States and thrown it into the sewer, while unlawfully shattering our democracy. You revel in your “accomplishments,” but your only real distinction is that you’re the first American president who is also a felon. Felon 47, that’s who you are.
And the social climbing Donald Trump who couldn’t get into the salons of New York’s Upper East Side? You’ve sealed that deal, demonstrating why all those rich and famous New Yorkers who kept you out of their houses did the right thing. You weren’t worthy then, and you’re not worthy now. Driving your country into a black hole of hate is nothing to be proud of. Using your fellow Americans instead of serving them is dastardly for a president, but that’s what you obviously enjoy.
You’re a big corrupt narcissistic baby who’s throwing a tantrum and breaking the world with the help of others of your kind. You and Elon and his band of merry MuskRats are destroying our government, our society, our culture, our planet. The Musk-Trump co-presidency is busy erasing people of color, women, LGBTQ, the disabled, humanitarians, decent human beings of all kind, people with a sense of justice, people who’re kind and compassionate and who care about other human beings, people who’re merely doing their jobs to keep our government working or to make the world a better place. All are on your hit list.
Kindness is out, evil is in. You’re tearing down our democracy to make a world for white men, especially unbelievably rich white men. And why? More fame, more power, more greed. In other words and again, a white man’s world.
But it’s odd to me that people are walking around, shopping, lunching with friends, carrying on like business as usual as a coup is happening around them. But what do you do when your country is being taken over by authoritarians? We know what happened in Germany under Nazism. We know they came and got the Jews and persecuted the Roma people, black people, gay people, Slavic people, the disabled, trade unionists, social democrats, the others who didn’t fit in with Nazi ideology. They oppressed, abused, and victimized those that weren’t pure Aryan. We know what happened at Auschwitz and Dachau and all the other death camps.
Change that now to white male American—or those pretending to be. You and your thugs are just like the Nazis, but, so far, your killing is from dismantling the social programs and aid that the United States has used to care for our own citizens and for those around the world who need our help and look kindly on us because of it. Just think of all the young terrorists you’re creating by your small-minded and short-sided maliciousness! As I keep saying over and over, I can’t get over the malice. The total lack of caring, of empathy for other people is staggering.
You certainly got no home training about good manners and living in the world with any grace. And from what we know about your co-president Musk, he was raised with Nazi-ish ideals, especially from his mother’s father, Joshua Haldeman.

Bingo! There is the racist and Christian nationalist ideology that goes hand in hand with the deal with you made with the American version of Christian nationalists. A racist marriage made in Heaven—Musk and Trump.
You, Musk and his MuskRats, the Radical Right Christian nationalists—all of you are domestic terrorists. Project 2025 is your evil “Christian” weapon. Your suckers—the American people—are experiencing the beginning of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale. This is real time for real people, not starring Elizabeth Moss, and this has always been the experience of women of color. Now the cast is every woman in this country, our grandmothers, mothers, daughters, granddaughters, cousins, friends—plus our grandfathers, fathers, sons, grandsons, our gay brothers and sisters, trans, Black, Hispanic, Asian, the lowliest and loneliest among us. Not the mean rich white men like you. You think you count more than the rest of us, but you don’t. You will never count as much because of your unscrupulous values.
If you hadn’t managed to game our system of justice, no doubt by now you would have additional criminal convictions to go along with your 34 counts of falsifying business records; you might’ve even served some time in the Big House instead of the White House. But the checks and balances our Founders put in place to protect our democracy from gangsters like you haven’t worked—so far—under your vicious and well-aided attack. You’ve shown that our American democracy can fail.
Americans like me never ever thought our country could become an authoritarian state, but you—you of all people, a person who never cared about anything except money, power, and fame, certainly not your wives or children, not your employees, not your citizens, and most importantly not your country or the United States Constitution, which you pledged to uphold with your little hand on a Bible—you are the one to ruin us?
If I ever could have imagined a criminal taking down our United States, I might have thought it would be someone with ideological passion, not a reckless coward who found a way out of serving in Vietnam, who never met a person he didn’t see as a loser or a patsy.
…The podiatrist, Dr. Larry Braunstein, died in 2007. But his daughters say their father often told the story of coming to the aid of a young Mr. Trump during the Vietnam War as a favor to his father.
“I know it was a favor,” said one daughter, Dr. Elysa Braunstein, 56, who along with her sister, Sharon Kessel, 53, shared the family’s account for the first time publicly when contacted by The New York Times.
Elysa Braunstein said the implication from her father was that Mr. Trump did not have a disqualifying foot ailment. “But did he examine him? I don’t know,” she said.
Was that the beginning of your life of unearned privilege and accompanying poltroonery? We have documentation that you’re a bully who learned from your bully father, your military school, and then, of course Roy Cohn, whom you ultimately betrayed. We’ve seen you betray all your faithful servants when you needed a scapegoat. What real man does that? Real men take responsibility and own what they do. But that is clearly not you. You were trained to be a bad man.

And so, you have demonstrated cruelty as an art that must make you feel like a big man, when it actually makes you infinitesimally small.

A creep
You are shoving our country so far down a global dumpster of darkness that I’m not sure we can find our way out. But one thing I do know is that darkness cannot survive in light.
An email I got from the ACLU said:
President Trump and his allies are abusing government power to serve themselves while trying to control our lives – attacking our health care, our speech, our books, and our bodies. But we are not powerless. We will not back down. We will never stop defending our communities.
Thank God we have organizations with balls, who won’t kowtow to criminals and oligarchs and collaborators and let our rule of law, our checks and balances, our justice, our country go down the tubes. A lot of us are resisting. We’re fighting like hell to stop you and to rebuild what you destroy. We will never stop.
